‘Table for One’ Date Yourself

Whether you are single or in a relationship, taking the time to treat yourself with some quality independent time is greatly beneficial to your health and emotional wellness! During college, spending solitary time with yourself is especially integral to being efficient and productive. Intense isolation during testing season is common for students to effectively study. If students are not used to spending so much time alone, these periods of time can cause periods of depression and intense sadness. Spending leisurely time alone with oneself can be difficult if you don’t have an itinerary, so here are some ways to date yourself!

1.)  Bookstore date: Bookstores are ideal for solo browsing. Spending time in a bookstore is a perfect way to explore your favorite genres without outside direction or worrying about making someone else wait on you. Reading is a singular activity and integral to the college experience, so why not spend some time reading what you want to. 2.) Movie Date: Going to a movie is a conventional couple activity, but there’s no reason you need a partner to attend a movie. There’s no such thing as bonding during a movie, so you might as well go alone. Not to mention, is it just me or are movie snacks just better when you don’t have to share them? The best part? 3.)  Spa Day: Spa days can be a great way to relax by yourself, and get a sense of inner peace, but all of that relaxation can be instantly undone as soon as you seen your bill! Here are some ways to treat yourself to the spa experience at home on a college budget:

  • Face masks: face masks are great way to treat your skin after late nights, dehydration and general stress, they are also very inexpensive when bought in bulk, or online.
  • Bath bombs: bath bombs, beautiful, relaxing and the perfect way to emulate the spa experience at home. 4.) Netflix and Chill:Netflix is the best way to enjoy your time alone with zero interruptions!  Throw a blanket in the dryer, grab your favorite pint of ice cream, and have yourself the best binge watch session of all time!
